The Pirates of Shenzhen for InterContinental Hotel Groups Asia Pacific Leadership Conference – Shenzhen, China. Chinese-speaking cast of Shaolin Monk apprentices and Sichuan Circus acrobats with English-speaking principals. Opening & Closing Ceremonies, Gay Games VII, Chicago, Illinois. 1300 Performers, Staff of 200, Storytelling on a massive scale. Choreographed processional of 11,000 athletes onto the field in 47 minutes. This is ostensibly an “Olympic” record. Full-field lighting stunt. This was a twelve-month project. March 23, 2000 declared “Kile Ozier Day” in San Francisco by Mayor Willie Brown, “…to recognize and honor [his] creative vision…” and the over $3 million raised by Academy of Friends.
